Our children have been at the International School of Bergen for 5 years, and we have all loved being a part of the very special community surrounding the school. The teachers genuinely care about the students and their families, and combined with the distinguished IB program they provide a fun-filled, highly engaging learning environment for the students. Educational activities are always combined with social and emotional learning, and we have been very happy with the breadth of knowledge our children gain from being a part of this school. We would highly recommend ISB to both local and international families, thank you!

The school is an internationally accredited IB school with highly engaged teachers and staff who care deeply for the students and families. A very welcoming community, as we moved from abroad like the majority of families at this school. Communication between the school and home is clear and prompt. The quality of education provided at ISB is second to none. Wish we were staying longer! (children in grades 1 and 3 for one year, came from Canada)

Wonderful tranquil place. The students are offered great opportunities ranging from project based science activities to experiential learning in the outdoors. If I could have my school days again I’d go here.

International School of Bergen (ISB)
(enrolling students 1 year - Grade 10)

My family had a wonderful experience with International School of Bergen. We were there for 2 years - Kindergarten and Grade 1. The classes are small and the school has a true community feel. The teachers are responsive to parent questions and concerns. The school provides many opportunities for students to be leaders and have agency over their learning. My child made wonderful friends here with students in his class and in other grade levels. There are many international families and local families at the school. The PTO was active despite the COVID19 pandemic, hosting student activities and parent/family activities when possible. ISB moved to newly renovated facilities in 2019 which include a wonderful playground, a nature space, a gym, a media/performing space, art rooms, a library, a science lab, etc. Students are issued laptops and technology is an integrated part of the curriculum. A variety of extra curricular activities are offered after school including music lessons, sports, chess, coding, art, drama, etc.
